Christopher Apple-Blossom is the baker, getting up early each morning to bake fresh bread for the inhabitants of Sylvania. The dough mixer for his bread is driven by the watermill, this saves Christopher a lot of work! Using old family recipes and his finest ingredients, not only does Christopher produce wonderful tasty bread, he also fills the Bakery with delicious fresh baked smells!

Here comes Bob Blackberry and his trusty steed Blacksocks with their wonderful selection of fruit and vegetables fresh from the farm. On arrival Bob feeds and waters Blacksocks for all his hard work getting them to market before setting up his stall. Once set up, Bob draws a crowd of customers with his call of "Come on Ladies, fresh fruit and veg from the farm this morning, you can't get better"

Betty Blackberry runs the Sylvanian Juice Bar in the villagesquare throughout the summer; providing everybody in Sylvania with delicious, healthy and refreshing fruit drinks. Bob, Betty's husband collects all the ingredients from the family orchard and greenhouse on his horse and cart, delivering them to Betty, along with her tasty homemade jams.

This fully equipped hospital is ready for any Sylvanian emergency from the discomfort of a broken paw to the joyous birth of a new baby.

Doctor Murdoch Junior, like his father, shows extra special patience with his patients but unlike his father he only manages to do this because he’s got a bicycle! This means that he can "whizz" off to his next appointment at speed, taking extra care not to run anyone over! He’s often seen pedalling around Sylvania, visiting patients at home, dashing to his surgery or trying to get to the General Hospital in time for his rounds!

Sylvanian Families The Dentist Set

As the Sylvanian population continues to grow, the village is expanding its healthcare capacity - including a new dentist at the dental surgery.

Spencer Clearwater is the new dentist in Sylvania. He is exceedingly well qualified, with a ‘first’ degree and certificates from the University of Sylvania, which he proudly displays on the surgery reception wall. As a child Spencer loved visiting the dentist for check-ups and was fanatical about brushing and cleaning his teeth, insisting the rest of his family did the same.
